This workshop-style weekend, directed by actors Ted Swartz and Jeff Raught of the acclaimed Ted & Company TheaterWorks, will allow you to interact closely with sacred texts and lend you the courage to share truth in profound new ways. With a healthy dose of humor, Ted and Jeff demonstrate their unique method of creating sketches for worship, structuring inventive reading, and simply reading scripture more imaginatively.

Faith, Comedy and Surprise: A Way of Understanding (Ted) 

Through performance and discussion, Ted Swartz will reveal his unique methods of finding the surprising humor and, consequently, the humanity in familiar and unfamiliar biblical stories. Imagining the unseen characters and interactions that may have taken place has opened surprising windows for workshop participants.
